Banned Books Week, which occurs annually in one of the last weeks of September, has been marked annually by libraries, book stores, schools, and other organizations interested in preserving our right to freely choose what we read, what we learn, and how we think.

Banned Books Week at Penn State's University Libraries

When and Where: September 23-29, Diversity Studies Room, 109 Pattee Library. Accompanying exhibit runs through the month of September.

More Information: In celebration of Banned Books week, September 23-29, there will be 101 hours of reading from books in the exhibit "Banned Books 101." The exhibit, on display in the Diversity Studies Room, features 101 books and why they were banned. Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Center for the Book, under the direction of Steven Herb.
