1. Noticing and praising children's emerging literacy skills: listening, answering, reading, turn-taking, talking about the alphabet, thinking about first letters of words 2. Finding items in alphabetical order 3. Using a pronunciation guide for reading words 4. Enjoy sharing non-fiction books by looking at pictures and choosing ones to read about 5. Learning and then teaching the words and actions for a finger rhyme 6. Enjoy extending a reading experience through playing a guessing game
