Clifford's Sports Day written and illustrated by Norman Bridwell

Emily Elizabeth and her pal Clifford the Big Red Dog enjoy a Sports Day at her school. Clifford eagerly joins in many of the field day activities, including a three-legged race and tug of war, but soon discovers that he isn’t good at everything. He learns to use the talents he has, and becomes the hero of Sports Day. Readers of all ages will be able to see themselves in the awkward – but tenacious! – Clifford. The illustrations are typical of other Clifford media, and include vivid colors, bursts of motion, and a lot of red!
