Gloria Allred, born July 3, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an attorney known for her high-profile legal work in cases involving women's rights, sexual harassment, and gender discrimination. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Allred later co-founded the firm Allred, Maroko & Goldberg. Her legal advocacy gained national attention in the 1970s and 1980s through cases on behalf of sexual assault survivors and women denied equal opportunities in employment and education.
