Lynd Ward Prize Advisory Board

Current Advisory Board:

• Kendra Boileau is the Assistant Director and Editor-in-Chief of Penn State University Press. She is the Publisher of the Press’ trade graphic novel imprint, Graphic Mundi, and is a former Lynd Ward Prize judge.
   
• Ellysa Stern Cahoy, ex-officio, is a Distinguished Librarian and Director of the Pennsylvania Center for the Book in the Pennsylvania State University Libraries.
   
• John Meier is Head, STEM Libraries, in the Penn State University Libraries.  He has published on science graphic novel collections in academic libraries, is a former Lynd Ward Prize juror, and served as a juror on the EBSCO / CBC SEE-IT Graphic Novel Award.
   
• Joel Priddy is an award-winning graphic novelist and Department Head, Graphic Design in the College of Arts and Architecture at Pennsylvania State University.
   
• J. Harlan Ritchey is a freelance illustrator, designer, and videographer, and library assistant at the Engineering Library in the Pennsylvania State University Libraries.
   
• Teresa Slobuski is Head Librarian at the Penn State Brandywine Vairo Library and chaired the Lynd Ward Prize jury in 2023. 
   
• Scott T. Smith is an Associate Professor of English and Comparative Literature in the College of the Liberal Arts at Pennsylvania State University.
